ABOUT THE CURRICULUM
Introducing young people to a safe online platform where they can enhance their understanding on women’s rights, relate to the manifestations of violence against young women, the negative social norms that perpetuate various forms of violence, information on the redressal mechanisms and be leaders in their spaces where they can spear head collective actions promoting positive changes.

Oxfam’s latest endeavour is this course on gender, that seeks to promote ideas of equality and spread awareness on issues surrounding gender, violence, intersectionality, power and privilege. The objective of this course is to allow young people build an understanding of the above issues and to ensure that all those who take the course, see themselves as future change makers on the path to gender equality.
The course has been created keeping in mind the target audience to be young people from schools and colleges across various cities of India. However, it is recommended that anyone who has access and is interested in deepening their understanding on issues of gender and sexuality, should take the course.
The Online curriculum has 14 lessons and will provide easy access to users to engage at their own pace with topics on gender, stereotypes, power relations and patriarchy, aspects on leadership and violence against young women, information on laws, redressal structures and processes. The curriculum content is available in English and Hindi, free of cost. Each module has a small quiz at the end of it, to assess the course takers progress. On successful completion of the curriculum, the user should be able to access evaluation sheets and generate a certificate.
